Why I Quit Claude the First Time I Tried It

The first time I tried Claude I quit. Opened it, stared at the blank screen, and thought: this is too difficult to understand.

ChatGPT felt like a friendly app. Claude felt like someone handed me a cockpit.

So I did what everybody does. I went to YouTube. Watched hours of tutorials on 'how to use Claude'. Yet, I still didn't have a good grasp on how I should use it.

Twenty Minutes

Then I spent one afternoon sitting next to Ana Toniuc who actually uses it. She pointed at the screen. Told me what to type and what to do. Twenty minutes and it finally clicked.

That afternoon is the entire reason I'm launching the 3rd Space Bucharest AI Circle with Ana.

What Changed

Because since then:

• Claude does about 90% of my podcast production. The work that used to eat my Sundays.
• I built the new 3rd Space Bucharest website with it. No developer, no template shopping.
• I'm building an iOS app with it right now. Me. The guy with no coding experience.
• And it's becoming my Romanian tutor and never sighs when I butcher "îmi pare rău" for the fourth time.

None of that came from a video.
