Why I Said Yes When Cami Offered to Help With TikTok

Why I Said Yes When Cami Offered to Help With TikTok

I don't use TikTok. But 3rd Space has a TikTok page. That's entirely because of Camelia Ionescu.

One Post Strategy

For months, my whole social media strategy was one post after an event. That's it. I figured if people liked what they saw, they'd subscribe.

Then Cami offered to help. She attended one of my padel & prosecco events and had such a great time that she offered to help me.

Saturday Recording

We met on a Saturday morning, recorded 5 different videos that she had scripted, and posted the videos over the next couple of weeks.

My follower count grew. By a lot.

Real Growth

3rd Space Bucharest still doesn't have thousands of followers. But some people are starting to learn about us on Instagram and I've even sold a few tickets to our upcoming Portraits & Prosecco social because of some reels.

I'm not good at this. Cami is. And the only reason it's happening is that I said yes instead of saying "I've got it."

The Takeaway

Shout out to Cami.

If you're building something and someone offers to help with the part you're bad at, take it. Sometimes the best move isn't learning everything yourself. It's recognizing when someone else can do it better and letting them in.

Stop saying "I've got it" when you don't.
